Finally made a deep run. Stars $8 $12k 4th place for $947 and an actual profit for the month. Lets hope this is the start of a nice upswing.

Thats all I'm going to say about January so far. :) Still time left to make this a profitable month.

Played TCOOP #4. Didn't do very well at all. Got in all in with QQ with 12bigs and ran into KK. Today will try event #13 along with the usual weekend grind.

Finaly made it to my first final table of the year. $11 MTT on stars. Finished 8th for a not so great $301. Its been 3 weeks since I saw the final 9 and I was hoping for a better result. Still time left to make Jan a profitable month.

I set my goals for this year pretty high to try and motivate myself to learn, study and improve my game and take the next step and get out of the low level tournaments and move up while keeping my bankroll management commitments. I recently signed up for Tournament Poker Edge training and so far I am very impressed with the site. Plenty of great content in forms of videos, articles and pod casts, not to mention the forum is a great resource.  I play exclusively on Pokerstars with a 2012 starting bankroll of $2000. I set my br goal at $25k by the end of 2012, which I think is attainable with a bit more volume.
My secondary goal for this year is to play a live tournament or two with a decent buy-in. Last night I bought my super sat. ticket for the Fallsview Poker Classic $2500 event. Buying in direct is way out of my br so this is the only option I have.
I will keep posting updates here as often as I can.
